Gunners keen on right back Martin Montoya.
Arsenal are interested in a deal to sign Barcelona right back Martin Montoya, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 22-year-old is out of contract at the Nou Camp next summer and the Catalonia international will be available on a free transfer.
Montoya, who can also cover at left back, was restricted to just 15 league appearances last term with Dani Alves still first choice for the La Liga champions. The home grown youngster is reportedly keen to leave the Catalan giants to further his chances of playing first team football.
Montoya was heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan this summer, but stayed at the Blaugrana.
The Gunners have long been linked with a new right back, with Bacary Sagna’s contract set to expire next summer.
But Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen to open talks with Sagna over a new deal, after an impressive start to the season for the former Auxerre man, which could throw a move for Montoya into doubt.
Carl Jenkinson and new signing Mathieu Flamini can also cover at right full-back for Arsenal.
