Arsenal are interested in signing Italian international forward Alessio Cerci from Torino, reports Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio, after Olivier Giroud was ruled out through injury, possibly for as long as three months.
Cerci had a fine season for Torino last time out as they squeezed into the Europa League courtesy of Parma being denied a license – and has been linked with AC Milan now that the Mario Balotelli to Liverpool transfer has gone through.
Arsenal could provide late competition for Milan, however, with another striker now seeming to be a priority following the injury picked up by Olivier Giroud in the weekend’s 2-2 draw with Everton at Goodison Park.
