Arsenal have joined Barcelona in the race for United Arab Emirates forward Omar Abdulrahman, according to the Daily Mail.
The Gunners have sent scouts to make regular checks out the 21-year-old, who currently plays for Al Ain, and could move for Abdulrahman in the summer.
La Liga giants Barcelona are also monitoring player, according to Catalan paper Sport, after being impressed by the him during UAE’s participation in the London Olympic Games.
The playmaker has been compared to David Silva and is also earning admiring glances from the likes of Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke, Hamburg and Malaga.
Champions League last-16 outfit Malaga regard Abdulrahman as the perfect replacement for Isco, who has just broken into the Spain squad and is being watched by a host of Premier League clubs.
Abdulrahman’s representatives have reportedly had a number of meetings with potential suitors ahead of the reopening of the transfer window this summer.
