Arsenal may have made the biggest transfer so far by getting Petr Cech, but Arsene Wenger isn’t done yet as he reportedly has West Bromwich Albion’s Saito Berahino on his radar.
According to the Metro, the Gunners are currently in the race for Berahino after he scored 14 goals in the Premier League last season (6th most in the league) and scored five goals in four FA Cup appearances – he also had a scintillating 4-goal hat trick against Gateshead back in January. With a price tag reportedly valued at £30 million from West Bromwich, the competition will be fierce. Manchester City, Liverpool and Newcastle are reportedly in the mix as well.
Berahino is undoubtedly one of the fastest rising stars in the Premier League, having won the England U21 Player of the Year award in 2014 and has scored 29 goals in his last 80 appearances for West Bromwich. With a contract set to expire in two seasons, Berahino could command even more money next season if West Bromwich refuse to sell and the 21-year-old stud rewards them with another sensational season.
