The Gunners want the Italian at the end of the season to provide backup for current current number one Wojciech Szczesny.
Current back-up goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is sett to leave Arsenal at the end of the season, while Emiliano Viviano’s loan is set to end, meaning the Gunners will need at least one new goalkeeper in the summer.
Scuffet is just 17 but has already made two appearances for Udinese’s senior team and is an under-18 international but it remains to be seen if the youngster has the maturity to deputise for Szczesny.
Gunners scouts have been impressed with Scuffet’s abilties and the north London club have now approached the Serie A outfit to discuss a potential deal at the end of the season.
However, Scudetto holders Juventus have also been monitoring Scuffet in recent weeks.
