London rivals set for fierce fight to sign Bosnian this summer.
Arsenal will face a battle with Tottenham in order to land highly-rated AS Roma’s Miralem Pjanic, according to reports in the Sun.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina international has only been in the Italian capital for two years now after signing from Ligue 1 giants Olympique Lyonnais for just €11m.
However, in the intervening two campaigns for the Romans, the 23-year-old has been one of the club’s most eye-catching performers, with three goals and nine assists to his name in his debut season at the Stadio Olimpico.
Meanwhile, in his second campaign with Roma, Pjanic has fared even better, with three goals and six assists in just 25 Serie A appearances to date, while in all competitions for the club the attacking midfield player has registered four goals and seven assists in 27 contests.
As a result, both north London giants are understood to be preparing £20m summer offers for Pjanic, whose contract with Roma runs until 2015.
