Arsenal are reportedly stepping up their efforts to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot after meeting with club officials at yesterday’s Uefa Champions League draw in Monaco.
According to L’Equipe, the Gunners are the current favourites to snap up the exciting youngster, who is regarded as one of the most promising up-and-coming talents in French football at the moment.
The 19-year-old has also been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and AS Roma this summer, but Arsenal are desperately searching for a new signing in midfield after losing club captain Mikel Arteta to injury.
The likes of Sami Khedira and William Carvalho have also been linked as targets for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, though Rabiot may be the most realistic target now after recent developments, with Khedira set to stay at Real Madrid and Sporting Lisbon asking for around £24m for Carvalho.
