Former Arsenal striker Nwankwo Kanu says he still has belief that his old team can overcome a 0-2 deficit to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League and reach the quarter finals.
The Gunners actually arguably outplayed the best club side on the planet for the first half hour, with the Bavarians’ defence on the ropes, but a red card to Wojciech Szczesny made a big impact on the remainder of the game, and Pep Guardiola’s men eventually scored the away goals they craved to win the match.
Still, Kanu remembers that Arsenal defeated Bayern Munich 0-2 in the Allianz Arena a year ago, and were only eliminated on goal difference.
The retired Nigeria international has faith that Arsene Wenger can inspire his team to similar success this term, and called upon Gunners fans to back their team in Munich.
Wat do you think about the arsenal game and can Arsenal still make it? For me yes Arsenal kan, kan you believe it?
