Manchester United are still hoping to complete a deal with Barcelona to sign winger Pedro.
Arsenal striker and legend Thierry Henry believes that the 27-year-old Barcelona star would be an ideal signing for the Red Devils.
Henry thinks that Pedro would be a much better fit than midfielder Angel di Maria, whom he considers “free-spirited.”
“That’s why he went on to buy players this summer that can suit the way he wants to play – that’s why he wants Pedro,” Henry said to talkSPORT on Man United boss Louis van Gaal.
The former Arsenal scoring machine used to play with Pedro at Barcelona, which was where he landed after leaving the Emirates.
The Spanish international is expected to be signed at his £22.3m buy-out clause value if he does indeed make the move to Old Trafford.
Di Maria left Man United after one disappointing season and signed a £45m deal with Paris Saint-Germain.
Man United are hoping to sign Pedro as a replacement for Di Maria.
The Argentine international became disgruntled at Old Trafford and had a bitter exit, as shown by his refusal to report to the team’s pre-season tour.

This reportedly made Van Gaal furious, and the Red Devils fined di Maria two weeks’ worth of wages.
Pedro would help add depth to Manchester United’s attack, and brings an abundance of European pedigree to the table thanks to his time at the Camp Nou.
