Gotze had been a target for the Gunners during his time at Borussia Dortmund, but he chose to link up with the Bavarian giants instead, where he has so far failed to make an impact.
And because of that, the Germany international is rumoured to be unsettled and ready to quit the club, with reports suggesting that Arsenal are preparing a stunning £30million bid to bring him to the Premier League.
The 22-year-old is still being rated as one of the best youngsters in the game despite his troubles and has also attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United, who are said to be willing to part with Angel Di Maria in exchange.
But with Arsene Wenger possessing a bursting wallet, he is prepared to spend big this summer in order to get the club back on track in the title race, and will hope to beat his rivals to Gotze’s signature.
