Wenger preparing double raid on French national team members.Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is preparing a move to bring in two key signings to address his side’s issues upfront and at right-back for just £18m, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Gunners boss is desperate to bring in a replacement for Bacary Sagna after his departure to rivals Manchester City on a free transfer, and has seemingly identified Mathieu Debuchy of Newcastle United as the ideal candidate.
The Frenchman, currently on international duty at this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, would cost around £8m and may be one of the cheaper options on the market for Wenger at the moment.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also ready to meet the £10m release clause of Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy, another player currently away with France, after distancing themselves from a deal for AC Milan star Mario Balotelli.
The possibility of strengthening two important areas of the squad for so cheap will certainly go down as good business for the FA Cup winners as they look to build on their achievements from the 2013/14 season.
