Reports coming out of the recent club AGM suggested that Wenger will be handed a significant warchest in an attempt to save the club’s season – but he must spend it wisely and avoid the transfer mistakes of the summer, particularly at the back.
These are the three players that Wenger seems to be targeting:
Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton)
French midfielder Schneiderlin almost forced a move out of Southampton this summer, but the club kept hold of him and his stock his risen even higher after a flying start to the season for both player and club. Arsenal are desperate for a defensive midfielder and Schneiderlin is one of the best in the Premier League right now, with reports suggesting that the Gunners are very interested in the £25m-rated star.
