Arsene Wenger interested in making an offer for Swansea’s Michu.
Arsenal are considering making an offer for Swansea striker Michu, as Arsene Wenger continues to look at several options to boost his strike force.
The 27-year-old scored 18 goals in his first season in the Premier League, having joined Swansea for just £2m in the summer.
The Daily Mail reports that discussions have taken place between Wenger and his coaching staff about the prolific striker, and the club have put him on their summer shortlist along with Stevan Jovetic, Gonzalo Higuain and Wayne Rooney.
With Gervinho, Lukas Podolski and Olvier Giroud all struggling for form this season, finding a striker who can be consistent in front of goal is paramount to Arsenal’s off-season activities this summer, and Spanish star Michu seems to fit that description for Wenger.
With a large transfer budget to work with this year, Wenger has an opportunity to fill a lot of holes in his Arsenal side, as they look to win their first piece of silverware in eight years, and improve on their fourth place finish.
