Gunners want hitman Martinez…

FC Porto’s Colombian forward Jackson Martinez is the latest striker to be linked with a summer move to Arsenal, CaughtOffside reports.
The South American striker has enjoyed two prolific seasons in Europe since arriving from the Mexican leagues in 2012, and he’s bagged 58 goals for Porto in that time in all competitions.
The 27-year-old is expected to start up top for his country at this summer’s World Cup. He prides himself on his aerial ability and his first-time finishing, which, in many respects, makes him quite similar to Arsenal’s current first-choice forward Olivier Giroud.
The Frenchman’s scored 22 times in all competitions this term, but fans have become increasingly disappointed by his constant failure to deliver in big matches.
As a result, the Gunners want to sign a new striker this summer to support, or replace Giroud, and have been linked with countless names towards the end of this season, including Bayern Munich’s Mario Mandzukic, and Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette.
