Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hoping to complete a double swoop on rivals Manchester City for two big-name players in key positions, according to CaughtOffside.
The Gunners have been linked several times this summer with a move for young Serbian defender Matija Nastasic, and remain keen on signing him if Thomas Vermaelen leaves the club for either Manchester United or Barcelona.
However, Arsenal have also made contact with City over the possibility of taking Montenegro striker Stevan Jovetic on a season-long loan as they eye some top quality cover upfront.
The former Fiorentina man was linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for much of last summer, and may now get his move to north London after finding first-team football tough to come by in his first season in the Premier League.
With the likes of Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Alvaro Negredo to compete with for a place upfront, Jovetic may benefit from a temporary move away from the club, and it is thought that City would be open to loaning him out, though they are reluctant to allow two of their first-teamers to join a direct title rival.
