Bayern boss Pep Guardiola recently tried to downplay speculation over the Swiss international’s future. When asked about Shaqiri and team-mate Emile Hjoberg’s future’s at the club, he said: “I think they will stay. If they want something then they need to speak to Matthias Sammer.”
