According to The Independent [via L’Equipe], contract negotiations between Lacazette and the French giants have stalled, and now the 24-year-old is set to hand in a transfer request.
Both Liverpool and Arsenal have been heavily linked with the French international, and The Independent reports the Brendan Rodgers is prepared to spend £28m to bring the prolific striker to Anfield this summer.
Rodgers is the lookout for a new striker for next season after his side struggled for goals last term following the loss of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
Lacazette was the highest scorer in Ligue 1 last season with 27 goals and helped Lyon to a second-placed finish and a spot in the Champions League.
It seems Lyon will struggle to keep hold of Lacazette, especially with interest coming from the Premier League.
