Toni Sanabria has a €3m release clause in his contract with Barcelona…
Premier League table toppers Arsenal and Liverpool will fight for Barcelona’s 17-year-old wonderkid Toni Sanabria, who has a release clause of €3m, reports the Star.
The Catalan giants are desperate to keep hold of the prodigal Paraguayan youth international, knowing that Arsenal and Liverpool have snapped up many of their youngsters in the past.
Because English clubs can offer professional deals to players at a younger age, they have a considerable advantage in securing young Spanish talent. Due to the difficulty in ever getting into Barcelona’s first-team, many of their teenagers feel a move to the Premier League is not only of lucrative benefit, but also gives them a better chance of playing in a first-team.
Liverpool used the La Liga ruling to their advantage earlier in the year when they poached Sergi Canos, while Arsenal have previously snapped up Cesc Fabregas, Fran Merida, Hector Bellerin and Jon Toral from th La Liga champions.
Sanabria currently lies his trade for Barca’s B side, and mightily impressed last term alongside the likes of Gerardo Deulofeu and current Liverpool ace Luis Alberto.
