Gunners targeting deal for Winston Reid.
Arsenal are likely to look to strengthen their defence in the January transfer window and are looking in the direction of impressive West Ham United centre back Winston Reid, report the Mail, with the New Zealander having impressed hugely during his side’s weekend victory over Liverpool.

Reid has flourished since moving to West Ham from FC Midtjylland in Denmark following his impressive performances for New Zealand at the 2010 World Cup and is now arguably their most important player – but could’ve developed to the point that a move away from Upton Park could be the inevitable next step in his career.
Arsenal, meanwhile, will be well aware of the need for defensive reinforcements in January, with the sale of Thomas Vermaelen to Barcelona this summer having left the Gunners woefully short of cover at the back.
