Arsenal have reportedly made contact with representatives of Lyon ace Nabil Fekir, according to reports.
Fekir was heavily linked with both Arsenal and Liverpool during the summer transfer window, but reports in France [via CaughtOffside] claim the Gunners are keen on swooping on the 22-year-old attacker.
Arsenal were expected to sign a forward during the summer transfer window, but the Gunners passed the deadline empty-handed apart from the signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech back in July.
The Gunners may rethink its pursuit of Fekir, however, after the player suffered a cruciate ligament injury whilst on duty with the French national side on the weekend.
Fekir is expected to face at least six months on the sidelines, and it is unlikely Wenger will sign an injured player mid-season.
Arsenal have certainly shown interest in Fekir and may make another move in the summer.
Fekir scored 13 goals in Ligue 1 last season, and hit the back of the net four times in Lyon’s opening four matches this term.
