Arsenal are lining up a summer move for Destro.
Arsenal have made contact with AS Roma striker Mattia Destro’s agent over a potential summer move, reports Tuttomercato.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been tracking the Italian for about a year now and while a January move for the 23-year old did not bear fruit, the move may happen in the summer.
Destro is believed to be flattered by the interest from the Emirates Stadium and may be attracted to the possibility of playing under a manager of the ability of Wenger next season.
The north Londoners need a striker who can partner or possibly play instead of their French ace Olivier Giroud, and Destro, who has scored 13 goals in just 12 league starts for Roma this term, could be the ideal fit for the team.
Roma meanwhile, wouldn’t want to sell one of their most talented young players, but a lucrative offer could most certainly test their resolve to keep the Italy international.
