The experienced custodian is likely to make his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, with the Spanish giants keen to cancel his contract and move him on.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for his signature for some time, but reports in Spain are now claiming that Arsenal have already made an offer to bring him to north London over the coming weeks.
Casillas, who apparently also considered taking an early retirement, does have a number of offers on the table from a series of top European clubs, but it is now looking more and more likely that he will link up with Arsene Wenger’s men when the transfer window re-opens.
The Gunners have been on the look out for a truly top class goalkeeper this season after failing to settle on a regular number one.
