Gunners consider City swoop.

Arsenal are said to be weighing up a move for Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo as Loic Remy’s move to Chelsea looks all but done, according to CaughtOffside.
The Gunners are chasing a new signing upfront after losing Olivier Giroud to injury until at least January, and Negredo could now be a realistic target as City are ready to offload him in order to sign unsettled AS Monaco star Radamel Falcao.
The Premier League champions need to sell before they can buy to keep within Uefa’s Financial Fair Play boundries, though they are understandably hoping that Negredo will move to Real Madrid rather than to an English rival.
Still, Arsenal remain hopeful of doing a deal for the Spaniard, who scored 23 goals for City last season, with their own pursuit of Falcao as well as Remy looking unattainable at this stage.
