Prem trio monitor Spanish midfielder.
Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring the situation of Barcelona youngster Sergi Roberto, according to The Express.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who has been dubbed ‘the new Xavi’, is said to be unsettled at the Camp Nou.
Roberto started just one La Liga game last season, making a further 16 appearances as a sub.
Barca are reportedly preparing to open contract talks with the former Spain Under-21 international, but he may seek assurances that he will get more first-team football before committing to a new deal.
The Catalan giants are under new management and Roberto’s chances of being heavily involved in Luis Enrique’s plans have increased following the £30m sale of Cesc Fabregas to Chelsea.
However, Roberto only has 12 months left to run on his current contract and, if he fails to extend it, the Premier League trio could make a move.
The Red Devils were linked with a £6m move for Roberto in January, but a move failed to materialise.
