Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has told Gonzalo Higuain’s host of potential suitors that they can have the striker for a whopping £67.7m.
The Argentine has been linked with Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool this summer as the Premier League’s best each look for a proven goalscorer.
The Italian club have previously been flippant about Higuain’s future, but De Laurentiis has now admitted that he would sell the 27-year-old if it would fund the signing of eight new players.
He is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: “Sell Higuain for €90 million (£64.7m)? I’d like to sell him. That way I can buy eight players for the club!”
Higuain has scored 51 goals in 98 games for Napoli since joining from Real Madrid for £34.5m in 2013.
