Atletico Madrid have reportedly agreed a deal with Fiorentina over star defender Stefan Savic, according to reports.
Premier League giants Manchester United were last week reported by Metro [via AS] to have begun talks with Fiorentina over the possible transfer of the Montenegrin international, however it seems the Red Devils have missed out on the 24-year-old.
According to Sky Sports [via Marca] however, Ateltico have agreed a €12m deal for the former Manchester City defender.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool were also linked with Savic, however, the highly-rated centre-back will reportedly arrive in Madrid on Monday for a medical.
It is believed Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal was keen on Savic as a cheaper option for Sergio Ramos and Nicolas Otamendi after seeing negotiations for both players stall.
Savic has impressed in the Serie A since joining Fiorentina from Manchester City in 2012, making 86 league appearances and scoring four goals.
