Paris Saint-Germain youngster Adrien Rabiot has moved closer to joining Arsenal ahead of Chelsea as Arsene Wenger sends out a personal plea, according to the Sunday Express.
Wenger is said to have held talks with the 19-year-old and PSG have given the midfielder permission to speak with the Gunners ahead of a proposed £5.5m move.
Yet the North London outfit face competition from their rivals the Blues, whilst both AS Roma and Juventus are also keen on the Frenchman.
The two Serie A clubs have also been given permission to speak to the youngster and Wenger will have a task on his hands to convince Rabiot to join him at the Emirates Stadium.
The France Under-21 international is a product of the youth system at the Parc des Princes and broke into the first team back in 2012.
Rabiot spent six months on-loan with Toulouse in 2013 and to date has made 43 appearances for PSG in all competitions, helping them to successive Ligue 1 titles over the past two seasons.
