The 28-year-old is thought to be unwanted by current club Paris Saint-Germain, having failed to impress at the Parc des Princes since moving to the club last January.
Cabaye has only made two appearances, one from the bench, in PSG’s first four Ligue 1 games this season, and is behind some big names in the pecking order to break into Laurent Blanc’s starting eleven.
Arsenal and United have been linked with the French international in the past, and he could now be available for just £15m in the winter, making him cheaper than some of the clubs’ other top midfield targets.
