Martinez has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates this summer, with Daily Star reporting that while Arsenal is in pole position to land the Colombian, a deal has not yet been completed.
The Colombian praised the Gunners in an interview for O Bola, but admitted he had not yet sorted his future.
“I’ve always had two players I’ve admired above all others: (Luis) Ronaldo and Henry. So I’m very happy he made that comment about me,” Martinez is quoted as saying by Daily Star.
“Arsenal are a great team, playing in one of the best leagues in the world.
“I’m still waiting to see what the future holds. It’s not known yet but it will be known soon.
“For now I’m fully focused in the Copa America.
“Every player’s dream is to play where they can feel well and enjoy football, and that’s my dream too.
“Whether it’s in England, Italy or Spain, the most important thing is that my family and I both feel well and I can enjoy my football.”
Martinez’s record in the Portuguese top-flight is impressive and it’s no wonder Arsenal are willing to part with a big transfer fee for the 28-year-old.
The Colombian has scored 63 goals in 85 appearances for Porto since making his debut for the club in 2012.
Martinez also has a solid record at international level, averaging a goal every three games.
