Serie A giants Juventus are weighing up a £27.8m bid for Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil, according to reports.
Juventus have been linked with a move for the German international in recent weeks, and Daily Express [via Tuttosport] reports the Italian club are considering a £27.8m bid for the 26-year-old.
Max Allegri is looking to further bolster his side despite the arrivals of Sami Khedira, Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala and reportedly has had bids for Chelsea’s Oscar and Real Madrid’s Isco turned down.
It is highly unlikely Arsenal would accept such an offer considering the Gunners paid a club record £42.5m for the Ozil two summers ago.
Should Arsenal be tempted to sell one of its most prized assets, Arsene Wenger would surely want to recoup a majority of the transfer fee the club paid La Liga giants Real Madrid for the playmaker.
Ozil is part of the Arsenal squad that is currently touring the Far East and is expected to be fit for the Gunners’ opening Premier League fixture against West Ham United at the Emirates.
