Capoue could be set for Emirates Stadium switch.
Arsenal have been given a boost in their quest to sign a defensive midfielder this summer after Toulouse admitted they would sell Etienne Capoue for the right price.
The France international has been linked with a move to the Gunners and north London rivals Tottenham.
Toulouse president Olivier Sadran prevented the 24-year-old joining QPR in January but has now admitted that he’ll allow the tough-tackling player to depart for a ‘good offer’.
“We didn’t let Capoue leave this winter for £10 million because we felt that we still needed him,” Sadran is quoted as saying by ESPN.
“This time, he’ll leave if a club makes us a good offer, but there has not been one for the moment.”
The Gunners are in need of a new defensive midfielder this summer, after another injury-plagued season for Abou Diaby, and chief executive Ivan Gazidis has stressed the club have money to spend this summer.
Capoue has enjoyed a fine season for Toulouse, netting seven goals in 34 appearances from defensive midfield.
The player is currently on international duty with France.
