Francis Coquelin wants to be assured of first team football.
Arsenal are being made to sweat over the future of French central midfield star Francis Coquelin, who has emerged as a surprisingly impressive and solid performer in the centre of midfield since returning to the club from a loan spell at Charlton Athletic, with the player taking his time over considering whether to sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium, report the Mirror.

Coquelin has added some real steel to the centre of the park for a team who have been criticised for lacking those attributes over recent seasons, but the club continue to be linked with defensive midfield players and it would appear that Coquelin is waiting to see what the future holds before committing to the new deal that he has been offered.
The Frenchman has also spent time on loan at Freiburg during his time at Arsenal and his Gunners career seemed to be winding down to the end of his contract in the summer before his surprise renaissance in recent weeks has made securing a new contract a priority for Arsene Wenger.
