Arsenal playmaker Jack Wilshere will miss Saturday’s match with Reading but is expected to return for the match at WBA the following week.
The news was revealed by respect Arsenal source Geoff on twitter.
Wilshere has missed Arsenal’s last two matches – 2-0 wins against both Bayern Munich and Swansea – with an ankle injury sustained in the Premier League defeat at Tottenham last month.
The 21-year-old also missed England’s World Cup qualifying double header with San Marino and Montenegro.
Wilshere returned to action for the Gunners in October after spending 14 months on the sidelines with a stress fracture to his ankle. It was feared that his latest injury could leave him sidelined for a prolonged period yet again but boss Arsene Wenger has stressed that Wilshere, who has been rehabilitating in the Middle East, will return to action before the end of the campaign.
