Spain international will not be making Emirates Stadium switch this summer.
Barcelona striker David Villa is keen to leave the Nou Camp this summer but the Spaniard will not be joining Arsenal, reports the Daily Mirror.
Villa, 31, has been a bit-part player under Barca head-coach Tito Vilanova this season and was repeatedly linked with a move to the Gunners in January, while Manchester City were also said to have made an enquiry.
The Catalans refused to sell but Villa has continued to struggle for game-time and will reportedly seek a move in the summer to boost his chances of playing for Spain at the 2014 World Cup.
The former Valencia striker is his country’s record goalscorer and cost Barca £33m in 2010 but will seek a new club if he is not given assurances by Vilanova that he will get more chances next season.
Arsenal, however, have reportedly turned their attentions to Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic, 23, and will not be reviving their interest in Villa.
