Striker close to agreeing new contract
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud could be close to agreeing a contract extension with the north London club, according to Goal.com.
The French international, 27, has been at the Emirates Stadium since 2012 and has become a key player for the club, scoring 41 goals in 102 games for the Gunners.
He is currently out injured until January, but Arsenal hope to tie him down to a new deal that will run until 2018, with improved ages of £90,000 per week.
