Arsenal have begun talks with Manchester City over the transfer of star striker Edin Dzeko, according to reports.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the Bosnia & Herzegovina international in recent days with Arsene Wenger reportedly looking to lessen the attacking workload on Olivier Giroud.
According to Fichajes.net, Arsenal have made an approach to City in an attempt to bring the 29-year-old to the Emirates.
The report claims the Gunners are preparing a £13.9m bid should City be interested in selling the striker.
Dzeko has dropped down the pecking order at the Etihad under Manuel Pellegrini and will no doubt find out more difficult to crack the starting side next season following the arrival of £49m signing Raheem Sterling.
The former Wolfsburg man has scored an impressive 50 goals in 130 Premier League appearances for City but was forced to play a bit-part role last season, scoring just four goals in 22 games.
