Gunners to bring in another attacking player.Arsenal’s spending could be set to continue as the club open talks with Queens Park Rangers over the possible £8m signing of French striker Loic Remy, according to the Independent.
The 27-year-old has become a top target for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger as he seeks to improve on his current options upfront, with only Olivier Giroud providing a genuine contender for the central striker role last season.
Although some other big names have been linked as targets in that position for Arsenal, Remy’s availability on the cheap looks to have convinced them to pursue this deal, and a move for the former Marseille man could happen soon if he agrees personal terms with the club.
It has previously been suggested that Remy himself would favour a move to Arsenal over other interested clubs, so they should now be favourites to bring him in this summer, following up the superb signing of £32m Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez.
Remy has an impressive record of 20 goals in 41 Premier League appearances since moving to England in January 2013, and was a member of France’s squad for the 2014 World Cup.
