The 21-year-old has not impressed in his time at the Emirates Stadium so far, and needs first-team experience away from the club to improve his game.
The likes of Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck are currently ahead of Sanogo in the pecking order, and it may be that his best chance of improving would be at a lower mid-table side.
Villa, Sunderland and Palace all appear keen to strengthen upfront and may be willing to take a gamble on the misfiring Frenchman, who has just one goal this season.
