Arsenal player ratings for their 3-2 loss against Stoke City at the Britannia stadium…
Horrendous defending saw Arsenal trailing 3-0 at half time, and despite a far better second half the Gunners were unable to come away from the Britannia Stadium with anything.
Finishing the game with ten men, Arsenal missed the chance to make up some much needed ground on league leaders Chelsea as they sunk to a 3-2 defeat against Stoke City.

Here are the player ratings for Arsenal’s Premier League defeat against Stoke City:
GK) Damien Martinez – 4.0
Things were going so well for the young keeper in his last three games, but after letting in the first goal his confidence seemed to evaporate and he made a number of mistakes.
RB) Hector Bellerin – 2.5
Only given 45 minutes on the pitch, but looked out of his depth and was largely at fault for the first Stoke goal.
CB) Calum Chambers – 2.0
Completely missed the cross that led to the first goal when he should have just headed clear. Improved hugely in the second half, up until he got himself sent off for a second yellow. It was a harsh booking in fairness, but he gave the referee a decision to make.
CB) Per Mertesacker – 4.0
Once again it was illustrated just how much Mertesacker needs Laurent Koscielny alongside him. Needed to do more to martial the young troops at the back. Made mistakes for both Peter Crouch’s and Bojan’s goals.
LB) Kieran Gibbs – 5.0
Solid going forward, but equally culpable at the back. He allowed Jonathan Walters to get his cross in for Bojan’s goal far too easily.
