Here are the player ratings for Arsenal against Burnley:
GK) Wojciech Szczesny – 7.0
Relatively unchallenged, did well with the crosses he had to deal with. Had a scary moment during injury time but his defence came to the rescue.
RB) Calum Chambers – 8.0
A goal and an assist for a right-back is a superb return. Bagged his first goal for the Gunners and could have got a second if he maintained his composure.
CB) Per Mertesacker – 7.0
Dominant in the air as usual, brought the ball out of defence well too as was under little pressure. Did struggle a little when Burnley attacked with pace.
CB) Nacho Monreal – 7.5
A superb performance from the Spaniard. Despite being played out of position yet again he was not troubled in the slightest by the runs of Danny Ings and Marvin Sordell.
LB) Kieran Gibbs – 7.5
Quality going forward and rarely troubled going back the other way. Provided a late assist for Arsenal’s third to complete his performance.
