Gunners unimpressive on Merseyside, but late surge steals point.
Arsenal came away from Everton with a point on Saturday evening after a late smash and grab.
For most of the game, the Gunners were outthought, outfought and outplayed by the Toffees, who led 2-0 thanks to goals from Seamus Coleman and Steven Naismith.
However, Aaron Ramsey gave Arsenal hope of a comeback in the 83rd minute, before substitute Olivier Giroud headed home an equaliser in the final seconds of normal time.
Here’s how Arsene Wenger’s men rated at Goodison Park:
Goalkeeper: Wojciech Szczesny – 5/10
Conceded from Everton’s only two shots on target. The second went through his legs.
Right-back: Mathieu Debuchy – 5/10
Passing was unreliable. Defending was adequate.
