Arsenal booked an Asia Trophy final meeting with Premier League rivals Everton by dispatching of a Singapore XI by a 4-0 scoreline.
Chuba Akpom scored an impressive hat-trick and Jack Wilshere also got on the scoresheet as a young Gunners side began their pre-season preparations with a comfortable victory.
Here’s how fanatix rated Arsene Wenger’s side at the Singapore National Stadium.

GK: Emiliano Martinez – 6/10
Rarely troubled in between the posts before he was replaced by Wojciech Szczesny at half time. Could be the only 45 minutes he gets in an Arsenal shirt all season, such is the club’s goalkeeping depth.
CB: Per Mertesacker – 6/10
Coasted through the game with relative ease. Arsenal have a host of youngsters coming through, but perhaps two of their senior centre-backs playing is evidence of a lack of defensive prospects.
CB: Gabriel Paulista – 6/10
Put the most sensitive area of his body on the line to make a crucial, yet painful first-half block.
RB: Mathieu Debuchy – 7/10
For the Frenchman, who missed most of last season with two serious injuries, more than any Arsenal player it was about getting game time under his belt and this 72 minutes will prove invaluable. Also made a telling attacking contribution as he won the first penalty, albeit in debatable circumstances.
LB: Nacho Monreal – 6.5/10
Completed an experienced back four and did not seem to be distracted by transfer rumours suggesting that he is close to returning to Spain. Made several good forward runs down the left.
