Fabianski and Podolski have off days, but Gunners scrape past Hull in epic encounter.
Arsenal’s nine-year trophy drought finally ended on Saturday as the Gunners came from 2-0 down to beat Hull City 3-2 after extra time in the FA Cup final.
Here is how Arsene Wenger’s side rated at Wembley Stadium.
Lukasz Fabianski – 5
Hull only had three shots on target in the regulation 90 minutes. Two directly resulted in goals, while the other was parried by Fabianski into the path of Curtis Davies, who scored from the rebound.
The under-par Polish stopper, playing his last game for Arsenal, almost gifted Hull an equaliser late in extra time, when he raced out of his goal and was beaten to the ball by Sone Aluko, who shot wide.
Bacary Sagna – 6
Sagna was also playing his last game for the Gunners. He performed slightly better than Fabianski, but the Frenchman, who has been heavily linked with a summer move Manchester City, was far from at his best.
Kieran Gibbs – 7
Arsenal would have been dead and buried had it not been for Gibbs. The English left-back cleared an Alex Bruce header off the line in the opening 15 minutes to stop the Gunners going 3-0 down.
