Santi Cazorla – 7
Scored a stunning free-kick to start Arsenal’s revival and his set-piece skills frequently caused problems for Hull’s rearguard.
Olivier Giroud – 8
Giroud struggled early on, but he kept persevering and became more and more useful as the game went on. He set up Ramsey’s winner with a clever back-heel pass and created four other chances for his teammates.
Subs:
Yaya Sanogo -7
Arsenal went 4-4-2 following Sanago’s introduction and they improved instantly. The 21-year-old’s direct pace and power caused frequent problems for Hull’s defenders. Despite being on the field for just half of the two-hour contest, he completed more dribbles than any of his teammates.
Jack Wilshere – 7
Wilshere did not put a foot wrong during his 15-minute appearance. He made two excellent tackles and retained possession well.
Tomas Rosicky – 5
Rosicky was pretty anonymous for most of his brief time on the pitch, although he had a good chance to score as Arsenal overloaded Hull in the dying seconds.
