MANAGER:
Arsene Wenger – 7/10
After making the mistake to play such an attacking side against Chelsea, Arsene Wenger opted to play things safer against Manchester City, selecting both Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini at the base of his midfield.
Although his team went into half time a goal down, Wenger clearly fired the Gunners up with his team talk, and the second half performance was a big improvement.
Arsenal deserved their point from the game, and Wenger’s instructions to up the tempo and press Man City when out of possession made a big difference.
PLAYERS:
Wojciech Szczesny – 6/10
After a brilliant first half of the season, it appears that old habits have crept back into Wojciech Szczesny’s game. That means that the Gunners goalkeeper again appears complacent, lacking in concentration and prone to errors.
Szczesny could do little about the goal, but occasionally gave his defence the jitters in the first half. Fortunately, in the second half as Arsenal’s confidence grew, their Polish goalkeeper began to look like the player of previously in the campaign.
