Chelsea v Arsenal – best players to have featured for both sides.
Goals in either half from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa settled the result and here is how the Gunners rated in the London derby.
1. Wojciech Szczesny – 6
Made a couple of good saves, but this was far from an efficient performance from the goalkeeper who looked erratic at times.
21. Calum Chambers – 4
After a promising start to life at the Emirates Stadium following a summer switch from Southampton this was not a good game for Chambers who was second best to Hazard all afternoon.
4. Per Mertesacker – 5
Once again the German looked slow and cumbersome as the Blues’ pacy and efficient attack tore the 29-year-old apart.
6. Laurent Koscielny – 5
Gave away a penalty after clattering into Hazard in the box and was lucky not to be sent off for the incident as well.
3. Kieran Gibbs – 7
The only shining light at the back for the North Londoners as Gibbs kept Andre Schurrle quiet and burst forward at every available opportunity.
