20. Mathieu Flamini – 5
Did what he could in the middle by trying to get stuck in, but was no match to the class of Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic.
10. Jack Wilshere (Rosicky, 83′) – 7
A decent display from the England international who never gave up and made some surging runs forward that gave the West Londoners’ defence something to think about.
17. Alexis Sanchez (Podolski, 79′) – 6
The Chile international had clearly been targeted by Mourinho as the main threat and was kept quiet as a result, even if the forward showed great work rate regardless.
11. Mesut Ozil – 4
Often operating on the right flank this playmaker failed to make any sort of decent contribution and just drifted through the match with no impact.
19. Santi Cazorla (Oxlade-Chamberlain, 69′) – 6
Looked the most likely of the attacking midfielders to cause a threat and it was therefore a surprise when Wenger chose to take the Spaniard off first.
