Gunners secure much needed victory…
Arsenal strolled to a 3-1 victory over West Ham at the Emirates tonight, despite going 0-1 down in the first-half. Here’s how we rated the Gunners…
Manager: Arsene Wenger – 8/10
Selected Lukas Podolski ahead of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, which made the side pretty slow in the final third. It paid dividends though, with the German equalising for the Gunners, before smashing in his second late in the match which effectively sealed the three points.
GK) Wojciech Szczesny – 6/10
Barring West Ham’s goal which wasn’t his fault, Szczesny had very little to do this evening. Interestingly, he was the youngest player in Arsenal’s starting XI by four years, although he’s no youngster himself at 23!
DR) Bacary Sagna – 6/10
Not his usual solid self, and gave the ball away needlessly down his right flank. Was far less troubled in the second half though, and helped Arsenal tick over possession against a clearly tired West Ham outfit.
