Arsenal continued their impressive run of form against Newcastle United but were made to fight for all three points at St James’s Park after taking an early two goal lead.
The Gunners now find themselves four points off leaders Chelsea, albeit having played two more games, but now have a little cushion on Man United and Liverpool ahead of their game tomorrow.

GK) David Ospina – 7
Couldn’t do much about the goal, but was strong at the end to keep Newcastle at bay.
RB) Calum Chambers – 6
Another uncomfortable showing at full-back, one has to wonder if Chambers has a future in that position.
CB) Gabriel – 7
Made a couple of important blocks early on and stood tall when his aerial ability was questioned.
CB) Laurent Koscielny – 7
Was caught too deep for Newcastle’s goal and needs to do more to lead the back four in Per Mertesacker’s absence.
LB) Nacho Monreal – 6
Monreal was caught out for the Magpies’ goal, but was otherwise more solid in his defensive duties,
