Gunners forward Mesut Ozil revealed that some of the Gunners players are embracing the idea of Germany coach Jurgen Klopp making the jump to the Premier League.
“He’s a big talking point over there – in the papers but also among the players,” Ozil said, according to Metro.
Klopp has been coaching Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund since 2008 and led them to a seventh-place finish.
Klopp has championship pedigree though, as he led Dortmund to two consecutive Bundesliga championships in the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.
It will be hard for the Gunners to replace current manager Arsene Wenger, as he has led them to three Premier League titles although none of them have been won since 2004.
The Gunners have remained a perennial contender though, as they have never finished lower than fourth place.
The German boss is also reported to be receiving heavy interest from Liverpool, who had considered letting go of manager Brendan Rodgers after a rough finish to the season.
